DRUTEX supports Golden Boy Trophy for the sixth time

Krystian Plech – owner of Plech Sport Agency and president of Akademia Sportu Wybrzeże – visited the headquarters of DRUTEX in Bytów, a long-time sponsor of events for young riders organized in Gdańsk. The meeting was an opportunity to thank the company’s management and employees for their involvement and support during last year’s edition of the tournament.

We are proud that it is with a company from Bytów, with whom we share sporting values, that we can co-create a unique event for the future champions of speedway. Over the years we have been able to count on support in many aspects, a mentoring approach and valuable advice. We thank you for your great commitment to the development of young talents – says Krystian Plech.

Golden Boy Trophy is one of the largest events in the world bringing together junior speedway riders. Every year, young athletes from many countries come to Gdańsk to take part in the tournament commemorating Zenon Plech – a legend of Polish speedway, an 11-time world championship medalist and five-time Polish champion.

Last year’s winner of the Gdańsk tournament was Cooper Antone from Australia, who travelled to Poland for the event for as long as 31 hours.

However, supporting the foundations of sport is equally important for us. The Gdańsk mini track is a place where characters are forged and talents are born that will shape the strength of world speedway in the future. For us, it is not only brand promotion, but above all a well-thought-out investment in future champions, carried out based on values that are close to us: precision, determination and continuous development – says Tomasz Szymański, marketing director of Drutex SA.

It is worth recalling that it was in mini speedway that the current DRUTEX brand ambassador – Bartosz Zmarzlik – began his adventure with motorsport. In February, the company from Bytów started cooperation with the six-time speedway world champion. For DRUTEX, this is another strategic step in building the global presence of the brand through partnerships with the world’s top athletes.
