Drutex Allocates PLN 30 Million to the Second Phase of Its Headquarters Expansion

This new phase of the investment covers the redevelopment of the existing office building, which has a total usable floor area of 2,425 m². The scope of work includes reorganising the functional layout of the premises, upgrading all internal installations and renovating the façade. Comprising one underground level and three above-ground storeys, the building will be adapted to accommodate modern office functions, while the underground level will serve technical purposes. In addition, an approximately 800 m² Drutex Story zone will be created in the new section, presenting the history of the company and its Founder, Leszek Gierszewski, who managed the business independently for four decades.

Investment has always been the foundation of Drutex’s growth. Each year, we allocate an average of more than PLN 100 million to expanding our production capacity, technologies, machinery and equipment, as well as our transport fleet. This is one of the key elements in building the strength of our brand. Above all, however, the company’s development is driven by its people. They have always been the source of its strength and its greatest asset. Today, we employ nearly 4,000 people, which entails enormous responsibility and commitment. We therefore want to create a working environment that provides our employees with the highest level of comfort and supports the organisation’s continued development. Our headquarters is the company’s showcase and should reflect the position that Drutex has established in both the domestic and international markets, says Kamila Gierszewska, Owner and Vice-President of Drutex.

One of the project’s most important elements will be the complete integration of the existing building with the company’s new headquarters. The two buildings will be connected on every floor by shared circulation spaces. A unified lobby will be created, while the stairwell layout will be completely redesigned. The result will be a modern, architecturally cohesive office complex tailored to the needs of one of Europe’s largest manufacturers in the window and door industry. Construction work is expected to take approximately 20 months, followed by a further three months for technical inspections and preparation of the building for occupancy.

The scope and scale of the work, which will be carried out adjacent to a fully operational building, are considerable, while the schedule is also ambitious. Nevertheless, our project team specialises in unconventional projects, embraces challenges of this kind and has an excellent track record in delivering them successfully. Over our 35 years in the market, during which we have completed hundreds of projects, including office developments, we have gained extensive experience that has earned the confidence of the Drutex Management Board. At the same time, I am extremely proud that we can once again contribute to the development of this leading Pomeranian company. We are becoming part of the next chapter in its remarkable history by building what, as Ms Kamila Gierszewska emphasises, will serve as the company’s showcase, says Radosław Dobke, Member of the Management Board of Allcon, the project’s general contractor.

The new investment continues Drutex’s infrastructure development programme. Less than a year ago, the company commissioned its new headquarters, offering a total floor area of 8,282 m², including 4,760 m² of modern office space. The building features 17 conference rooms, an auditorium equipped with a professional sound system, employee relaxation areas and a two-level underground car park. It was designed to support the organisation’s continued growth and expanding workforce. The ground floor of the building currently undergoing redevelopment will accommodate medical consulting rooms and a modern space for the HR and Occupational Health and Safety departments. One floor will be dedicated to the history of Drutex and its founder, Leszek Gierszewski. The remaining areas will comprise office space and conference rooms.

The interior design is once again being developed by Marcin Jadach, the acclaimed architect responsible for the concept behind the first phase of Drutex’s new headquarters. This will ensure that both parts of the complex form a cohesive architectural and functional whole.

The new project provides for the use of premium finishing materials, modern technologies and solutions designed to improve the comfort and functionality of the working environment. The interior furnishings will combine Italian and Japanese design—including products by Porada, Minotti, Masiero and Okamura—with high-quality solutions from Polish manufacturers and designers.

Drutex deliberately opted for an exceptionally high standard of finish throughout the office complex—both in the section commissioned last year and in the part currently being redeveloped. The interiors feature natural stone cladding and wall panels made from natural and exotic wood. Decorative marquetry, stainless-steel elements and clear Optiwhite glass have also been incorporated into the design. An intelligent lighting system allows individual zones to be adjusted and illuminated in colours coordinated with the façade. A range of other modern solutions has also been introduced. This is a long-term investment developed primarily for the company’s own needs. We want everyone who visits our headquarters to recognise the quality, scale and attention to detail that have defined the way we have managed and developed the company for many years, says lead designer Marcin Jadach.

Drutex continues to invest consistently in both its production facilities and administrative infrastructure. The company currently has 118,000 m² of production space and the capacity to manufacture up to 7,000 windows per day. Drutex products reach customers through a global network of more than 4,000 points of sale.
