DRUTEX again will be hosting students of construction

Between 19 and 20 May yet again DRUTEX S.A. will hold a students’ conference ‘Window to Construction’. This time the leading producer of windows, doors, roller shutters and façade blinds in Europe will be hosting the representatives of Universities of Technology from Warsaw, Gdansk, Silesia and Koszalin, as well as the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. 

This is the third edition of the event for students of construction. This time, the conference agenda has been broadened significantly and its formula has been expanded. Apart from presentations of projects prepared by teams from each university, the conference will feature Oxford debates where the four best teams will compete in the final game. The winners will receive a grand cup and attractive prizes. Obviously, the participants – just like during previous editions – will have the opportunity to learn about DRUTEX and to visit Bytów. 

- We are happy that our conference is an inherent part of the calendar of most important events in Poland for students of construction. Due to success of previous editions this year we had a lot more applications than places. It is highly  gratifying. We are convinced that scientific work presented by future engineers will soon determine modern construction; we have been involved in this process for ages – said Paweł Grzonka, marketing director in Drutex SA.

DRUTEX’ cooperation with institutes of higher education has been conducted on many levels, from internships and work placements, to scientific conferences as well as execution of mutual, cutting-edge projects. Apart from construction and architecture, the cooperation  also involves faculties in the area of IT, mechanics, automation and robotics, as well as logistics and shipping.

Co-organizers of III Students’ Conference ‘Window to Construction’, apart from DRUTEX S.A. are: Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environment at the Gdansk University of Technology and Academic Society of Technology and Construction Organization  (KOBRa).

- Cooperation with DRUTEX was initiated almost 10 years ago. I myself live in Bytów, and when observing the company development and its importance for enhancing modern construction all over the world, cooperation was both natural and required. Obviously, we started with smaller projects, organization of student internship and work placements. Today, our common initiatives are numerous, and new ideas come up all the time – says  PhD Eng.  Marcin Szczepański from Gdansk University of Technology.
